OK, so after weeks of reading people's knitting blogs, I couldn't resist doing my own. I don't know if I'll be quite as prolific as some other people (Dangerous Chunky!) but I'll at least do my best to keep it entertaining. I'm still playing with the template, so don't be too attached or too appalled by the page design!

So, want to see the first few things I ever knitted? Sure ya do.

OK, first was the pink baby sweater. Now the interesting thing about this is that I intended to give it to my cousin who had just had a baby girl, but somehow I never got over to see her and now the sweater will be too small for the baby. So it sits around my apartment not quite knowing what to do.

The sage sweater, from the same pattern (in the Vogue Baby Gifts book) was more successful. This one actually made it down to Florida for my friends Jeffrey and Lauren to give to their new baby, Dylan. In case anyone wonders, both sweaters are knitted in Tahki Cotton Classic, because the Rowan silk-cotton suggested in the pattern seemed rather pricey for baby sweaters that are going to get spat up on. The gauge was not quite right so I had to fudge it (with help from the ladies at my LYS) but I think they came out pretty nice in the end.

After sweaters, I moved on to fruit caps! These were for my sweetheart's little nieces and nephew in Missouri. I used Brown Sheep Nature Spun Worsted and totally loved it - lots of yardage, nice to work with.

Well, that's all I have pictures of right now, and frankly I don't really feel like writing anymore. See you tomorrow, I hope!
